the event

This is a five mile road race for all women, spotlighting the participation of new runners and first-time racers.  Women of all ages and abilities are welcome. Walkers are also welcome.

A fast mildly rolling clockwise loop, beginning and ending at the intersection of Route 16 and Intervale Crossroads across from the Scenic Vista. USATF Certified (NH98001WN) 5 miles.

We are eager to have new runners participate. We will have specially colored shirts for all first-time runners. First prize will be awarded in age groups for first-time racers.  If it's your first, be sure to check the appropriate box on the application.

entry fee

$12.00 pre-registration. $15.00 day of the race. Make checks payable to: WHITE MOUNTAIN MILERS and send it with your application to: runningstart, PO Box 515, Intervale, NH 03845.

number pick-up

Race day - Sunday, May 20 at 7:30 - 9:15 A.M. Look for the REGISTRATION TABLE on the lawn of the Intervale Motel.  Numbers will be given to registered racers only.

race shirts

Distinct color race shirts will go to all pre-registered first time runners.  Contrasting race shirts will be awarded to the 1st 150 registered other runners and walkers.


1st and 2nd prizes will be given in the following age groups, plus 1st prize to first-time racers in all age groups.  1st through 5th prizes will be given in the walkers division.

water stops

Water stops will be located on Whitaker Road at mile 2 and the John Fuller School at mile 3.

post-race refreshments

A healthy and substantial post-race brunch will be provided courtesy of Memorial Hospital and Chef Marcia Ackerman.
